First phase of homes delivered at Whitehall Gardens in Godmanchester

The first phase of homes have been delivered at Bellway's Whitehill Gardens scheme in Godmanchester.
Bellway Strategic Land secured the site to promote for housing and achieved an early planning consent for an initial phase for 59 homes. Bellway’s Eastern Counties operating division is now delivering the site.
Bellway Strategic Land Director (Central), Fergus Thomas, said: “It’s always pleasing to see strategic sites come to fruition to meet identified housing needs. We promote land robustly through the planning process and our ability to demonstrate delivery and quality, as is the case in Godmanchester, is a key aspect of obtaining the trust of local planning authorities to approve our schemes at the local level.
“We have seen this scheme through from site identification to delivery on the ground. It seems like yesterday when we approached the landowners with our initial vision for housing and we have since worked jointly to promote the scheme through planning process to obtain an early planning permission for an initial phase. Bellway’s Eastern Counties Division are building a quality scheme befitting of its location and have been able to deliver on key design features agreed with the landowners and the planners, with legacy at the core of what we do.”
