Bellway Strategic Land comprises qualified specialists with extensive experience of delivering land through the planning system. Having started as a small family business in 1946, Bellway is now split into 20 operating divisions across Great Britain, and our team draws upon deep knowledge of acquiring and delivering land in all areas of the country, ensuring the best outcome for landowners regardless of your location.

Madeleine Anderson-Wood

Madeleine joined Bellway in 2019, following eight years working at a Land Promoter based in central London. Her principal focus is strategic land across the southeast of England, sourcing new opportunities and managing various projects through the planning and promotion process in order to maximise value through to disposal. Her key areas are Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Neil Beamsley

Neil is a Chartered Ecologist with more than 20 years of ecological experience working across a range of sectors including commercial consultancy, local government, NGOs and conservation charities. Neil’s technical knowledge and expertise allow the team to provide forward-thinking and commercially prudent solutions to requirements such as Biodiversity Net Gain, Nutrient Neutrality and protected species mitigation.

Stefan Briddon

Heading up the Strategic Land team, Stefan performs a Group role with a national remit, advising the PLC Board on all land matters. He has extensive experience in the promotion of strategic land, the acquisition and delivery of housing, and, with ultimate responsibility for strategic land, is directly involved in the portfolio of sites in the North Division.

Richard Burrows

Richard's experience from 30 years in the construction industry includes land identification and site acquisition, planning promotion and managing house building divisions for multiple residential developers. Having been actively involved in the delivery of in excess of 25,000 homes, his knowledge of guiding sites through the planning system is a valuable asset to our landowner partners.

A specialist in identifying and delivering strategic land with a proven track record, Martyn brings vast experience as a chartered town planner working in the housebuilding industry. Martyn is responsible for the North Division and works collaboratively with landowners, local planning authorities, and our specialist consultant teams to get the right results for our landowners and the business.

Robert has worked as a Chartered Surveyor within multiple sectors of the property industry and has significant experience delivering major residential, energy, and infrastructure projects throughout the UK as a consultant, promoter, and developer. He uses his project management experience to identify appropriate delivery strategies for complicated and multi-faceted projects.

Eleanor Kibblewhite

Eleanor completed her graduate training at a major housebuilder before spending two years with a strategic land promoter in London during which time she qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. Eleanor joined Bellway in 2021 specialising in acquiring strategic land opportunities throughout East Anglia, Hertfordshire, North London and Buckinghamshire. Alongside acquisition, Eleanor also manages projects for a number of sites within the wider portfolio through the planning and promotion process.

Christy joined Bellway in 2021 to help identify and acquire sites already with planning permission. Having worked across the development sector, including in local government, consultancy, and housebuilding, Matt brings 15 years of strategic planning and land acquisition experience to the team. Matt is experienced in working alongside landowners in delivering large-scale residential developments across the country, from initial inception through to final acquisition.
